Why us

When you think of a high end guitar, words like flamed/ curly maple come to mind. Of course there are also coveted brand named pickups, CTS pots, orange drop capacitors and such.

Usually purchasing a guitar with all these elements would make the price skyrocket to the financially irresponsible unless you have a lot of disposable income. For students drooling over custom shop guitars, it is usually out of reach.

Personally, I feel like that cultivates an unhealthy obsession with gear. It is natural and healthy to always look for ways to improve. But associating better gear being the means to better music, makes it easy for many, including myself, to lose sight of what music making actually means for us.

How we’re doing it

Guitar companies have a lot to deal with. From administrative teams, to logistics to marketing, all these add costs to the final price we pay.

while mega corpos like Fender can produce a very respectable guitar from an impossibly low price, it is because of the immense scale they are producing them at. That also means that unfortunately, they cannot afford to spend much time on anything outside of the base specs.

Meaning to say, if they specs say a maple neck with 22 frets, that’s all you’re getting. At the very least, basic set ups should have been done but if you’re looking for a comfortably low action with nice rounded fret ends or even rolled fingerboards, that’s almost never a given.

So, being a one man operation, I don’t have salaries to give. I have my cost price and logistics to deal with but that’s a drop in the ocean compared to bigger companies. I don’t claim to be a boutique builder so I wont ask for exorbitant craftsmanship fees.

All that brings down the cost of a guitar with a flamed maple neck with locking tuners and decent hardware that comes with a hard case.

To be clear, I am not offering a custom shop level guitar. I’m offering something that’s looks and feels close enough to that dream guitar so you can forget about your GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) long enough to put in some practice time.

Let’s be real, looks are at least 90% why we picked up an electric guitar in the first place. You can see for yourself. If you like what you see, it could be yours for a lot less that what you would need to pay to have it from a big name brand.

What you’re getting

I take pride in my work. It might take me hours to hand polish the nitro finish but if the end result is to allow someone to be able to easily bond with their guitar, its all worth it for me.

Im all to familiar with the feeling of wanting something that doesn’t feel like its just off the production floor. like its built and cared for.

It was through a tedious process of trial and error that I’ve picked up enough know how to piece together these guitars in a way where I am satisfied with them myself. Everything from the best way to apply masking tape to the fretboard, to setting the truss rod, adjusting the saddle height, soldering parts, drilling, sanding etc. not to mention the costly mistakes I’ve made along the way.

so while it is true that you can pretty easily purchase parts, its not always as straight forward as you think to put them together.
